Candles can be made from a variety of waxes. This includes soybean, olive, beeswax, palm and paraffin.
WHY WE CHOOSE SOYBEAN WAX.
We choose wax made from soybeans grown and harvested from sustainable soy farms the USA. It is a pure form and includes a kosher certification. It is free from formaldehyde, unnatural additives, preservatives and plasticisers that may otherwise interfere with the purity and biodegradability of the wax during its lifetime.
Our wax is soft, creamy and composed of 100% natural ingredients. Soybean wax is a fast growing, renewable resource, breaks down 100% into the earth without harm. Soybean wax burns with zero petro soot, creating petro soot free candles.

WHY NOT OTHER WAXES FOR OUR CANDLES?
We choose Soybean wax is cruelty free, unlike beeswax no bees are harmed during harvest.
We do not choose Palm wax due to oil production causing deforestation and habitat loss, negative impact on greenhouse emmisions , contributing to climate change.
We do not choose Coconut wax due to high melt point and with low sustainability monitoring, making them more suspectible to harmful ingredients such as parrafin or unsafe synthetic hardeners.
We do not choose Parrafin wax due to being petroleum based and a fossil fuel byproduct, which is not biodergradable. Soybean wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and because of this will burn slower or longer than paraffin candles. This makes them perfect for everyday burns, just the way we like it.
WOOD WICKS & TREES FOR THE FUTURE
Our signature candles use all-natural crackling wood wick made from native, sappy fruit trees, sourced from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified mills, and manufactured in the USA.
Our supplier partner with TREES FOR THE FUTURE, planting a tree for every 100 wood wick candle we produce. By supporting GENERICS we make an impact, one candle at a time.
