Independently owned & operated GENERICS Urban Apothecary first opened doors in 2015 with a small corner store nestled in the heart of Northbridge, Western Australia. 

 Well known for our refillable vegan candles and refilling service- we pride ourselves in producing fragrances without the nasties. We pour using high grade, 100% Natural , kosher soybean wax with no unnatural additives, petrochemicals, no parabens and no phthalates. Our products are plant-based and cruelty free.  With more than 50 clean fragrance blends across the menu each season, clients can choose their fragrance suspension from fresh made refillable candles , botanical room oils, linen sprays to Eau De parfums and more . 

In a bid to encourage re-use and sustainability, we offer a REFILLING SERVICE for all empty glassware, ensures continuity with accessibility.

 Utilising both traditional artisan and modern production techniques, all GENERICS Urban Apothecary products are small batch made from scratch in our Perth based production facility before delivery to our store front every week.

 

DIRECTOR OF DESIGN

Head Perfumer and Product Developer Lisa Chau, has over 24 years experience designing lifestyle products for retail, including 11 years developing fragrances as Creative Director of Generics Urban Apothecary brand. 

 

 

 

OUR RETAIL PRODUCTS

Popularised by a diverse range of alternative scent options, our fragrance menu offer more than 50 IFRA and RIFM compliant aromatic blends, all free of phthalates and parabens.

Our fragrances are available across multiple product lines including refillable candles, room diffuser oils, room sprays, aromatherapy, perfume oils and EDP options.

All our sustainability focused products are vegan, cruetly free and small batch, artisan crafted in our Perth facility.

Located on the corner of William & Aberdeen St, our flagship store sits in the heritage listed circa 1913 building, nestled in the heart of Perth's food, arts, music & cultural district is also just a 5 min walk from the Perth CBD and train station. Just a hop, skip and a jump away from all thats hip and happening , this urban jungle lends a source of inspiration to our collections. 

Over the years we have partnered with major shopping centres to launch exciting retail concepts such as the ones with Enex 100 in Perth CBD and Westfield Carousel between 2016 - 2023.
